Go-lives are always challenging and you always come out of it with lessons learned. Today, I share some of my own experiences with what has worked for go-lives I've been part of. Some topics I mention are:

  • Centralizing education in an easily retrievable location
  • Creating a clear structure/flow for endusers to call in or log issues
  • Providing clear expectations on issue resolution
  • Being transparent and clear on communication
  • Having internal team huddles on a daily or weekly basis

One of the major misconceptions about pharmacy informatics is that it's an easy field to get into and the job itself is not as stressful as traditional roles in pharmacy. This is not true. The difficult reality is that roles in pharmacy informatics are fewer than traditional roles and there may be more responsibilities that expected.

💡 Pharmacy informatics is a niche field.
💡 You need the right motivation.
